Look before you Leap! in 2009

Blink. Everybody is always complaining about a lack of time, but they never do anything about it! Finally, someone did something. Did you miss it? That's right, you news buffs know that the U.S. Naval Observatory, keeper of the Pentagon's master clock, added an extra second last Wednesday in coordination with the world's atomic clocks at 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds Coordinated Universal Time, or UTC. It is a phenomenon known as "The Leap Second."
If you blinked, you may have missed it. But have no fear--I have an idea for you to start 2009 on the right foot. You can redeem your Leap Second using a very simple exercise. Ready?
How to Redeem your Leap Second

1. Think about an area in your life that you KNOW needs work in 2009. If you are having trouble thinking of a topic, ask your wife, or your roommate. (If you both are having trouble, pinch yourself, you may still be hung over from New Year's)
2. Think about the last time you felt good about that problem area. If it is weight, when did you last feel good about your progress? If devotions, when was the last time you were on track? If it is chain saw juggling, when was the last time you can remember having all your limbs? You get the picture.
3. Determine WHAT you were doing at that time that made you feel like you were making progress. Were you keeping a certain schedule that helped? Did you sit in a certain chair to pray? Did you start eating a certain food, avoiding a certain person, etc.? There was something that made you feel that you were on the right track before.
4. Use your "LEAP SECOND" at the best time for you TODAY to perform that "on track" excercise. That way you can "LEAP" back on track to success in 2009.
Good luck, and let me know what you used your second for...

Rich, you have some great ideas here! Congratulations on your position at Regent. When did you become Chaplain? By the way, you need to be careful about the Illinois politics comments. It's not PC!!

Blessings,

Melo

(Foundations of Culture)
How ARE We Ever To Learn

Within the scope of the human condition, every choice and every judgment must be based upon the acceptance of a value. Desperate people take desperate measures, but competitive individualism is the mark of a collapsing civilization. Industrialism toys with the difference between the explicit and the implicit. This is most true for those trying to act out their own fiasco; they are all drunk with power, indifferent to the reality of manipulation. In the beginning the child is taught to tell the truth in terms of Socrates, but in the end his intellect amplifies his own ambiguities and he becomes deaf to the truth as he buries reality.

We observe our own culture, emitting a rainbow above and the arc equals 180 degrees, and in reality it has no beginning or end. Within the arc we postulate the equality of mankind and it compasses these inscribed values. Enoch gave them a name, and in Scythia, the angels presided over the generations of Seth

The first, holy Michael; the second, all powerful holy Gabriel; the third holy Raphael, and the fourth, holy Phanuel.

Our common law in Western Culture is associated with Enoch’s universals:

Human health, happiness and abundant life is to be weighted above all that is evil.

Man is to be given the opportunity to recover from calamity (the destiny of his birth).

His liberty to make hard choices shall not be suffered or impeded.

He, being protected from sudden death; is assured dignity all the days of his life.

There can be no clear understanding of the present without a correct understanding of our origins. Given this, we can distinguish between reality and religious dogma invented.

Enoch wrote that Adam lived 130 months after the age of fourteen (born in 2965 B.C.) and he begat Seth and twenty five years had passed. Seth lived under his father until the age of fourteen and he lived nine more years and he begat his son Enos. Twenty-three years had passed since the birth of Seth. And Enos begat Cainan, 21and½ years…etc. etc.

‘And Enoch walked with the Infinite Deity’ and the years that had passed were 180 years.

Noah observed the darken sky and blood-red moon when he was 64, and he advised all to build their ships and leave. This was 120 years after the death of Enoch.

Noah arrived from the Black Sea with forty ships, and they captured all the lands about. This begins Dynasty III in Egypt and Dynasty I of Kish. And it is here in Ancient Babylonia that we find the ancient angels of Enoch and the beginnings of the law.
